Cast AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). “I approach this review with caution, acknowledging that ‘Skeleton Crew’; seems to be aimed at a younger audience. While kids might enjoy it, I was quite disappointed by the first four episodes. The story lacks depth, and feels like a children’s movie that jumps from place to place without much consequence. The war setting feels shallow and the action sequences don’t have the impact they should have. The acting, while not terrible, could be stronger, especially considering the ability of some of the actors. Even Jude Law seems to be ringing in there at times. The production design is impressive, but it can’t save a story that feels slow and ultimately forgettable. Perhaps the series can improve later, but based on my initial viewing, I’m not convinced.
