Steve McQueen’s The Blitz tells the epic journey of George (Elliott Heffernan), a nine-year-old boy who finds himself in World War II London and whose mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan) sends him to a safe place in the English countryside. Defiant and determined to return to his mother and grandfather Gerald (Paul Weller) in East London, George sets off on an adventure but finds himself in great danger while a desperate Rita searches for her missing son.
